Just heard that Bill Brooks passed away earlier this year-- it had been a number of years since I last communicated with him--anyone have any recent "Bill Brooks" stories or sightings? He certainly influenced the direction of my life!!

Worked with Bill @ Scripps from '76-'86. We got together every year over the Christmas holidays for a WPTV reunion lunch. And we corresponded every month over the last 25 years.

 When he became sick, I told him it was a cheap ploy to get out of picking up the tab. Marta made him a cake and we turned our last luncheon into his 75th birthday party. 

 He was too ill to travel...but Muffy wanted a cruise. He died in a questionable hospital on a small carribean island. Took forever to get his body released and back to the states.
