JAMES R. WAGGONER, Ph.D. James Richard Waggoner, Ph.D., age 44, of Franklin and formerly of Ashland and West Palm Beach, Florida, died Sunday, June 8, 1997 at Norwood Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained In a motorcycle accident. Bom in Salem, Ohio on November 11, 1952, he was the son of J. Thomas and Elisa (Colian) Waggoner of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Mr. Waggoner attended schools in West Palm Beach, Florida. Following graduation from high school, he enlisted in the Air Force, and served for four years. After serving in the Air Force, Mr. Waggoner attended the University of Florida in Gainsville, Florida, where he received his Undergraduate and Ph.D degrees, majoring in electric chemistry. Mr. Waggoner then went to work for several firms including Catalyst Research In Baltimore, Maryland, and Gates Energy Products in Gainsville, Florida. His current position was as a Project Manager in Research and Development for Duracell Corporation in Needham, Massachusetts. While employed with these firms, Mr. Waggoner also co-authored various patents. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waggoner Is survived by his wife. Dawn L. Starry-Waggoner of Med-way; a daughter, Pamela I. Arnold of Coral Springs, Florida; and two brothers, Robert Waggoner and Thomas Waggoner, both of Florida. He Is also survived by two nephews, Brett and Ryan Waggoner, both of Florida. Funeral Services will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, June 13, 1997 at THOMAS L. PRICE FUNERAL HOME, 553 Northlake Blvd., North Palm Beach with Msgr. Thomas Klinzing officiating. Private entombment at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta. those planning an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the charity of one's choice in Mr. Waggoner's memory.
